Question: Is there a prayer room or any designated place to offer prayers in the library?

The Reflection Room in the Evansdale Library provides a designated quiet, peaceful place free from the distractions of technology.

Individuals or small groups of WVU students, staff and faculty may use the room for reflective practices such as contemplation, meditation and prayer.

The libraries do not discourage these practices in other library locations.

The Reflection Room

• may be used for quiet prayer or other introspective religious (or non-religious) practices and is specifically nondenominational

• is free of electronic devices, food, beverages, and studying

• is accessible at all times when the building is open (hours)

• has guidelines posted in the room and online
