Peer reviewed articles are the most reliable type of source to use in your research because they have already been reviewed by other experts to ensure their research is accurate and understandable.

Way to find peer-reviewed articles:

  • Go to a database like Academic Search Complete or JSTOR and use a checkbox on the search or results page to limit the search or results to peer-reviewed articles.

or

  • Select the "Articles" tab above the search box on the library homepage and submit your search. Use the menu on the left to un-select "Chapter," and you will be left with "Peer-reviewed."

Once you make those selections, your results should change to only display peer-reviewed articles.
