Can I print a poster, and how much does it cost?
Poster printing is available on the lower level of the Downtown Campus Library and on the lower level of the Evansdale Library in the OIT computer lab.
For prices, operating hours, and other information, please check the website for the location you want to print at:
Downtown Library Poster Printing: https://lib.wvu.edu/services/multimedia/poster/
Evansdale BigPrints: http://oit.wvu.edu/labs/printing/bigprints/
- File Formats: .jpg, .pdf, .tif, .tiff
- Programs: We can only print to the poster printer from the Mac computers. This means you should save your file in a format that is readable by programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Preview, or Adobe Acrobat Professional. Most image files can be read by both Mac and PC computers. Microsoft Publisher files should be saved in .pdf format. If you need help saving or converting a file, please ask the Multimedia Services staff for help.
- DPI (dots per inch): We recommend your final poster be 150-300 dpi for best quality. Keep in mind that images on the web are often 72dpi and may become pixelated if they are enlarged to poster size
